Are you a skilled and strategic leader with expertise in the electricity distribution industry? Lead our newly integrated Delivery Planning Team and help us shape the future of our network. 

The role brings design, estimation, and project delivery into one cohesive function, ensuring the seamless planning and execution of our annual works programme. You’ll need a strong background in network design and delivery, alongside leadership capability to align people, processes, and programmes.

With oversight of the full planning lifecycle from Customer-Initiated Works (CIW) to capital projects, you’ll drive outcomes across a significant and varied annual programme. You’ll lead from the front, providing strategic direction, ensuring financial and operational performance, and embedding a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.

The role

This newly created position reflects our evolving structure and growth. Your portfolio will span across design, estimation, and project delivery – ensuring all workstreams are aligned and efficiently managed.

You will:

• Commit to and deliver the full annual work plan
• Lead, mentor, and develop a skilled and diverse team of project and design specialists
• Collaborate with the Project Director to align planning and execution
• Drive financial performance, manage risk, and embed a strong safety and compliance culture
• Oversee the development and implementation of project management and design processes
• Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners.

About you

You’ll bring:

• 10+ years’ experience in the electricity distribution industry
• A relevant qualification in Electrical Engineering or Business
• A proven track record in leading teams and delivering complex project portfolios
• Strong financial, stakeholder, and change management skills
• Confidence in project planning and delivery best practice, with a safety-first mindset
• Exceptional communication and leadership skills – you inspire and enable others to thrive.
