Tom Bromfield joined Waipā Networks in April 2024, and is currently serving as Acting Chief Executive, bringing more than 20 years’ experience in the energy sector in New Zealand and overseas. He began his career in Liverpool, England, specialising in high-voltage cable jointing and qualifying as a line mechanic and fault technician.

After moving to New Zealand in 2011, Tom built a strong reputation as a cable installation and testing specialist, delivering end-to-end solutions across New Zealand and the Pacific. His experience spans everything from reactive fault response to large-scale business management. With a balance of strategic thinking and operational leadership, Tom is known for his collaborative approach and commitment to team learning, growth and shared success.
